Celebrex is a Cox-2 Inhibitor arthritis drug that new studies have linked to an increased risk for heart attack.  A recent study was immediately halted when initial results found that patients taking Celebrex had a 2.5 times greater risk for heart attacks and strokes, according to CNN.  The FDA has advised doctors to "find an alternative" to prescribing this dangerous drug.

Pfizer, the drug's manufacturer, has no plans to withdraw the drug Celebrex from the market. Pfizer claims that Celebrex is "the world's most-prescribed arthritis drug" and has been prescribed to over 27 million Americans.
